“Flash” is a drawing or design intended for repeated use. Any design can be adjusted by size, and placement (within reason and at the artists discretion) but the drawings themselves hold steadfast in their initial design. Any design oriented changes, i.e. adding flowers or lettering, taking away key elements or any supplementary elements given to existing designs would be considered flash based customization. A “custom tattoo” sometimes referred to as a commission, would be an original idea or concept brought to the artist that falls outside of anything that is not visually listed in the actual Flash gallery. Alternatively, flash can and has been used for years as a great resource to gather ideas to use when designing a custom tattoo and to get “the creative juices flowing”.
